Elmo Rietschle’s R Series of rotary lobe pumps provide safe and efficienct operation for clean applications. The dry running, positive displacement principle provides effective vacuum without the need for oil or grease within the compression chamber. The gearbox and bearings are separated from the pumping chamber to ensure no lubricant can contaminate the output.

R Series Features and Benefits

Proven operating principle

Two non contacting triple lobed rotary lobe rotors rotate against each other in the compression room. Air enters through an inlet opening into a conveying cell which is formed by the rotors in the casing. The cell is then separated from the inlet and is conveyed without reduction. Air with a higher pressure flows from the chamber into the cell, and is then discharged. It is during this stage that external compression takes place.

Oil free for hygienic applications

Dry running operation offers sanitary performance for applications where high health and safety standards are critical.

Handle challenging processes

The R series can safely handle sludge, slurry, and solids without causing damage. It can also handle solid particles due to the large pumping chamber as well as low viscosity fluids.
